Luke 2:22
They brought Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord.
Father, I’ve never seen anything personal in this verse until today. What would you like to say to me about this verse?
Ivey, as you continue to study the Bible you will find all sorts of messages from me. Even some of the most arcane, seemingly historical verses will jump out at you with a personal message from me to you.
Everything you present to me, everything you give to me becomes sacred. This is the underlying principle of first fruits and tithing. It is also why I continually have you place things on the altar. I am not trying to get you to give them to me in the sense of sacrifice or that you will be deprived of that item. I want to sanctify it. Everything you do, everything you own and everything which comes into your hands I wish to set apart as holy. I desire the blessing flowing through everything which enters your realm of experience. So, even your bike riding which you have made time for us, I have sanctified and made it holy. Everything you touch can become an honored vessel for my flow because you first present it to me.
Picture yourself before an altar. See yourself placing everything on that altar and dedicating it to me. I will give it back to you anointed with my power and goodness. I will anoint it to be a blessing to you and a vessel through which more blessing will flow. Present everything to me so that I can bless you.
Questions for the Lord:
- Dad, I have never heard such a message. Can you speak more about this?
- Can I, should I even place relationships on that altar?
