2 Corinthians 5:1
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made of hands, eternal in the heavens.
Father, what would you like to show me about this verse?
Ivey, you are a citizen of heaven and that should be your truth and reality. Though you are in the earth for a time, you are not of it. You are a heavenly being and your home is here with us. I have prepared a place for you here with me where you will live forever.
Do not restrict your thoughts regarding this verse to buildings. It is not just about someone tearing down the temple or the church building. Jesus talked about men destroying the temple of his body. No one can tear down what Jesus has built. Never fear what people can do to your body or even say about you. People will try to destroy you. People are not always kind but no one can destroy what Jesus has claimed and sanctified and you, your spirit are that which Jesus has claimed out of the earth. No man can destroy. Take heart when men cast all sorts of insults at you. I am building in you a church, a people. Your heart is my home and resting place. Take your rest, peace and comfort in me.
