Exodus 34:6-7
Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth.
Father, what would you like to show me about this verse?
Goodness does not just describe me, it is who I am. I long to parade my goodness, compassion and lovingkindness before you, as I did with Moses. When you see me, you see only good things. All good things come from me and only good comes from me. I have no need or desire to put hardship or suffering in your life. I sent Jesus to save you from suffering and trouble. Suffering and sorrow do not bind you to me, they separate us. I want to show you kindness and grace. I want you to know that I am not angry with you or any of my children. Even when you fail, I still love you. There is nothing you can do to make me so angry that I would harm you in any way. My job is to protect you.
Remember Jeremiah 29: 11, all my plans for you are plans for well-being. Never have I made a plan for calamity or hardship. That is not my way. My way is the way of love. I will pass by you showing you my goodness daily if you will stand and watch. I am full of compassion and overflowing with lovingkindness. Position yourself as did Moses and allow me to show you all of my kindness and good intentions. Allow me to be a doting Father. I am not just God . . . I am Dad.
