Psalm 119:68
You are good and do good; teach me Your statutes.
Father, what would you like to show me about this verse?
Ivey, I want you to hear, “Follow my ways.” In my way, is always goodness. I am a God of good things. As you follow me, expect always good tidings, good words, good gifts, kindnesses and blessings of every kind. Expect the oil of gladness to pour over you daily. I am a good God. I have only good things for my children. I never want to see a child of mine hurting. Even those children who hate me, I love and I want to shower with good gifts. To know me is to know goodness. To learn my ways is to learn about the good things I have for you. No one who knows me can say, “I am cursed by God.”
I desire to teach you my ways. I desire for you to walk in my ways. I abide in you and you in me. Wherever you go, there I am. Show my kindness and goodness. Let people see the generosity of my heart. Learn to receive all of the good things I have for you. Allow me to exalt you as my beloved. In you, others will see all that I long to give them. You believe me for goodness, now let me demonstrate it through you. There is no good thing I would not do for you. I desire to show the manifestation of my love. Let me show you my ways which are always the way of kindness and goodness. Let your life be a billboard of my goodness.
Others will see for themselves all that I long to do for them, how I long to bless them. I will touch every aspect of their lives with my goodness. Be an overflowing vessel of my goodness.
Questions for the Lord:
- Father, I have heard that you allow us to experience hard times so that we will grow in strength and in you. How is that reconciled with this verse?
