John 14:2
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Father, what would you like to say to me about this verse?
Ivey, the first thing you should understand from this verse is that Jesus had no reason to tell anything that was not absolute truth. He could tell nothing but truth because he is the truth. Therefore, when he told his followers that My house has many mansions, he was not misleading them. His words lead to ultimate truth. I want all my children to live here with me, so, I have built many mansions. Jesus has come to prepare them for habitation. Without Jesus, they are empty husks. He is the life and the light. Jesus defeated the darkness in every person’s life. Now, he has spruced up the mansion of the soul and breathed new life into these edifices. All of my children will live in grandeur in the palace I have created. Jesus and I longingly await your arrival in paradise.
